About NEAT Stockholm

I'm Klara. I take photographs, draw illustrations, and make decisions about colour that I then second-guess and then stand by anyway. NEAT Stockholm is my store — the prints come from wherever I've stopped and looked long enough to think something was worth keeping.

Some of those places: London in the fog, Los Angeles in January, a field outside Stockholm in late summer, the sky over Athens on a Tuesday afternoon that turned into eight separate prints because I couldn't choose just one.

Everything here is designed by me. The photography series are shot by me or by my father, Hans Bäckström — whose eye for the Swedish countryside I trust completely. The illustrations are built the way riso printing works: each colour as a separate layer, the overlaps as deliberate as the colours themselves. Nothing here is made by committee or generated by algorithm.

Prints are produced on demand by Gelato, a global print network with partners in 32 countries — which means your order is printed as close to you as possible, usually arriving within 5 business days. No overproduction, no warehouse, no excess.
