Fields
Swedish summer. Fields and wildflowers, nothing more.
The Fields collection is a photography series made in the Swedish countryside — meadows, reeds, daisies in tall grass, the open landscape of Öland in July. Most of the photographs were taken by Hans Bäckström, who has been photographing the Swedish outdoors for decades. A few come from further afield: wildflowers and weathered stone in Monemvasia, on the Greek coast.
These are quiet photographs. They don't ask much of you. They work in rooms that need something unhurried on the wall — a bedroom, a hallway, a kitchen that faces the wrong direction and needs a reminder that summer exists.
Printed on 200 gsm semi-glossy paper. Hans Bäckström prints are also available on 250 gsm museum-quality matte paper in the NEAT x Hans Bäckström collection. Made to order, shipped worldwide.
